The Salisbury Academy Upper School is an expansion of an excellent private school in Rowan County. Thirteen students registered for the upper school this year, and all thirteen of them joined the new Junior Civitan Club which had been chartered there just last October.
A similar expansion offered another opportunity to build a new Junior Civitan Club at Faith Academy, a charter school, when the school expanded its elementary program to include an "upper school." Shortly after the new school opened, a Junior Civitan Club was chartered there for students at both the middle and high school levels. The new club was co-sponsored by the Civitan Club of Salisbury and the Faith Civitan Club, with valuable assistance from Club Builder Tim Williams. The Faith Academy Junior Civitan Club reported that they have recruited 31 charter members.

Both clubs have strong advisors and have been extremely active with a variety of service projects. Applications for Honor Clubs of Distinction for both clubs have been endorsed by the Region 3 Director.
